Green is the "favorite" of colors, particularly in decorating. It's coolness soothes, calms and is pleasing to the senses. Green is the easiest on the eyes and is said to even improve vision. It is a color of peace and harmony.
Green is symbolic of nature and the environment, of health, youth, vigor and fertility. Green is a symbol of good luck and generosity. On the "dark side," some greens represents jeaslousy, envy, misfortune. However dark green is a masculine color representing conservation and wealth. In India green is the color of Islam, whereas in Ireland it has Catholic connotation. In tropical regions green is the color of danger.
Green is a secondary color. It's complementary color is red. Green's analogous colors are yellow and blue.
