The decorative arts entail a number of ornamental and functional decorative art forms in materials including ceramic, wood, glass, metal, textiles and others. The "functional" decaorative arts are generally distinguished from "fine arts" which typically has no other purpose but to look at. Decorative art may be fixed, such as wallpaper, decorative paintings or architectural ornamentation; or may be moveable, such as furniture items, pottery or glassware.
