My art career started in the military. For three years I was lucky enough to work on art assignments with the US Army in Europe. I then returned to study art at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. For the next thirty five years I worked as an illustrator in Detroit, Chicago and Denver. It was all very satisfying.
About a dozen years ago, my wife and I moved to the Sierras of California. At that time I started to concentratemore on fine art painting. For a few years, before returning to Michigan, I was able to paint and study with a number of exceptional California artits. After all these years, each new paining continues to be an exciting challenge.
